Chub AI

Chub is a character-chat product. OpenRouter lists it at openrouter.ai/apps/chub-ai and describes the listing as “GenAI for everyone.” When this page was checked on 27 Sep 2026, that listing showed on the order of 122 billion tokens attributed to the app. The chat itself happens on Chub, not here.

How the two accounts fit

• A Chub account is created on Chub’s own site.
• An OpenRouter account is created at openrouter.ai/sign-in.
• The API key from openrouter.ai/settings/keys is what Chub stores if you pick OpenRouter as the model source.
• Each message then bills the OpenRouter slug you selected, plus whatever Chub charges on its own plan.

People search “chub ai app” because there is a mobile client as well as the website. Install it from Chub’s own download page or the store listing Chub names. A random APK result is not this guide’s recommendation.

What you pay

OpenRouter credits are dollars. Buying them on a card costs 5.5 percent, with an $0.80 minimum. The model price comes off the balance after that. A free slug such as openrouter/free can be used only if Chub lets you type the model id, and only while your OpenRouter balance is not negative. Chub’s subscription, if you have one, is a separate charge on Chub’s checkout.

Chub hosts user-made characters, and a large share of that catalog is adult fiction. This guide does not include sexual text, character prompts, or ways around a model’s refusals. Use Chub’s own rating filters. Router Desk does not store your chats.

Never paste an OpenRouter key into a page that is not Chub or openrouter.ai. A key spends the credits on the account.
